Foxconn and Kingston become the latest corporate backers of Fuhu, developer of a web 2.0 application for children.

US-based web application (app) developer Fuhu closed a series C round of funding worth $15m on Wednesday. The round was led by Taiwan-based electronics manufacturing conglomerate Foxconn Technology Group with participation by Kingston Digital, the Flash memory affiliate of the US-based computer memory Kingston Technology Company.

Fuhu secured $6.3m in series B financing from computer hardware manufacturer Acer, in May 2009, at the same time as it signed a contract to distribute Fuhu products in its hardware.
