The executive will be promoted to head up the unit's US digital and mobile investments, and will be replaced by Jong Sang Choi.
Michael Jeon, the head of European and Israeli investment for Samsung Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of Korea-based electronics manufacturer Samsung, will be moving to the unit’s California office to oversee its mobile and digital media activities.
Jeon will be replaced by Jong Sang Choi, who has been a senior investment manager for Samsung Ventures Europe since December, and who previously worked for Samsung’s business development in before managing broadcaster NBC Universal’s digital media operations.
