Capital One Ventures was among the exiting investors at data protection software provider Vera, which had raised $50m pre-acquisition.

Financial services firm Capital One has exited US-based data protection software provider Vera in an acquisition of undisclosed size by enterprise IT security and automation software provider HelpSystems.

Vera has built a cloud-based data security platform used to encrypt and log sensitive information sent from enterprises to third parties. HelpSystems expects Vera’s products to strengthen its existing data security technology portfolio.
