Ericsson has acquired NodePrime, the developer of a data centre infrastructure management system, after taking part in its $7m series A round last year.

Communications equipment maker Ericsson agreed yesterday to acquire one of its corporate venturing portfolio companies, US-based infrastructure management platform developer NodePrime, for an undisclosed cash sum.

NodePrime has built software that can analyse and automatically configure a data centre’s hardware platform, allowing it to transfer to a hyperscale infrastructure. It can also be integrated into Ericsson’s Hyperscale Datacenter System 8000 system.
