The early learning and childcare provider received $14.1m in a round co-led by corporate investor Ednovation.

Preschool educational technology producer Ednovation has co-led a RMB100m ($14.1m) series B round for China-based early learning and care provider Learnroom with investment firm CDH Investments.

Founded in 2012, Learnroom offers childcare for children aged 0 to three years old and education for three-to-six year olds. It will now look to add artificial intelligence and core education ideas sourced from Singapore, where Ednovation is headquartered, to its platform.

The series B funding will go to market expansion, increased support staff and the further development of the company’s teaching methods as it looks to grow to a network of 150 schools in China by 2022. It has not publicly disclosed details of its early financing.
