Deutsche Telekom gets instant Replay exit

Replay Technologies has been acquired by Intel for roughly $175m, days after it closed a $13.5m series A round led by Deutsche Telekom.

Semiconductor technology manufacturer Intel agreed on Tuesday to acquire Israel-based TV imaging technology provider Replay Technologies, providing exits to electronics producer Samsung and telecommunications firm Deutsche Telekom.

Intel did not disclose the purchase price in an accompanying press release but market sources told Globes they believed the price was $175m.

Replay has developed a sports event viewing system called FreeD that uses ultrahigh-definition cameras positioned through the arena to film games, allowing television viewers to watch it from any angle.…
