Existing investor Seek has invested $6.8m in Workana, a freelancer recruitment marketplace that will now expand from Latin America into Southeast Asia.

Argentina-based freelance hiring platform Workana has received R$23m ($6.8m) in funding from recruitment firm Seek Group, Baguette has reported.

Founded in 2012, Workana operates an online marketplace for freelancers who provide services such as web design, copywriting and marketing. The platform is available across Latin America and has registered more than 1 million freelancers.
