Kenya-based publishing house Longhorn Publishers has announced the launch of a venture studio.

Longhorn Digital Ventures Studio Kenya will act as an incubator for education technology ideas. It plans to spin out businesses once a product market fit is found.

Longhorn Digital Ventures Studio Kenya’s first investment includes Loho Learning, an eLearning platform, which was initially selected by Mastercard Foundation’s accelerator programme.

“We believe that this radical shift in approach will provide a foundation for an entirely new Longhorn business that builds on our key asset, intellectual property and the teacher and student ecosystem,” said a Longhorn Publishers spokesperson.
