Trish Skoglund has joined Fairwater, a US maritime fuel transportation business, as senior VP of corporate development.

She has moved to the role after five years working for Crowley, a US maritime, energy and logistics company, which set up Fairwater in August as a joint venture with Seacor, a US company that provides equipment and services to the petroleum and marine transportation industries.

At Crowley, she was corporate director of M&A, where she sourced and managed venture investments for the company’s CVC unit, Crowley Ventures. Skoglund also worked on the establishment of the Fairwater joint venture while there.

Before Crowley, she worked at the UK oil and gas multinational BP for five years, starting in activity planning where she coordinated engineering operations in Alaska, before moving to work on onshore wind projects.

Fairwater has not yet made any corporate investments since it was established last month. Crowley is an investor in the maritime logistics and energy sectors. In 2023, under Skoglund’s leadership as head of M&A, Crowley Ventures took part in the $8.75m series A funding round for Zero Emissions Industries, a US hydrogen fuel technology company. It also acquired Tamarind Consolidated, a logistics services company, in the same year.
