After five years as president of Stanley Black & Decker's corporate VC fund, Dina Routhier has moved to the newly formed Teradyne Robotics Ventures.

Dina Routhier, formerly head of toolmaker Stanley Black & Decker’s venture arm, has left to take on the managing director position at the corporate VC subsidiary of electronics testing service Teradyne.

Teradyne Robotics Ventures was formed last year and operates as the strategic investment partner of US-based Teradyne, which provides automated testing for robotics and semiconductors. The unit is headed by senior managing director Eric Truebenbach.

Routhier joined Stanley Ventures in 2017, the year after it was formed, as managing director. She ascended to president in 2020 and made the GCV Powerlist two years later, by which time the unit had built a portfolio of more than two dozen startups.

However, Stanley Black & Decker cut the size of Stanley Ventures’ team from five to two later that year amid a steep fall in its share price, and it has not publicly disclosed an investment since. Mike Mahan remains at the unit as managing director.

Teradyne Robotics Ventures has not revealed details of its strategy but its first investment came in November last year when it took part in a $50m series B round for Pickle Robot, a developer of robotic unloading systems for trucks.
