Marc Bouchet took on the role of chief of staff for electrification infrastructure startup Amperesand, 18 months after TDK Ventures backed the startup's seed round.

Marc Bouchet has left electronics technology manufacturer TDK’s corporate venture arm, TDK Ventures, to take up a chief of staff role at Singaporean startup Amperesand.
Amperesand, which is portfolio company of TDK Ventures, provides electrification infrastructure built with solid state transformer modules made from silicon carbide, for use in applications such as fast car charging and data centres. TDK Ventures was part of its $12.5m seed round in February 2024.
“I firmly believe we’re at a pivotal moment in the world of energy infrastructure, with seemingly insatiable demand for power coming from critical loads like AI data centres, heavy industry and electrification,” Bouchet said in a post about the move.
“We need new tools to connect this demand with terawatts of energy generation quickly, safely and cost-effectively. Amperesand is building those tools.”
TDK Ventures hired Bouchet as an analyst in 2021 before promoting him to associate and then senior associate, shortly before he joined the unit’s European office in London last year.
Bouchet led investments for the unit, including autonomous robot developer Anybotics and energy storage technology provider Peak Energy, where he held a board seat.
