Former GCV Powerlister Abhijit Ganguly has taken the reins at the newly formed TekVentures following four years leading Goodyear Ventures.

Abhijit Ganguly, former head of tyre manufacturer Goodyear’s corporate venture capital arm, has taken the managing director role at a newly formed CVC unit for advanced materials producer Teknor Apex.
TekVentures is still in stealth but will make strategic investments on behalf of US-headquartered Teknor Apex, a privately-held company that supplies a variety of plastics such as vinyl, thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs), and nylons for sectors such as construction, electronics, consumer products and cars.
The fund is yet to disclose participation in any early-stage deals but is looking to hire a Silicon Valley-based principal, and Ganguly revealed in a LinkedIn post that he will be working with several senior members of Teknor Apex’s existing innovation team.
Ganguly started the position in April this year but has only recently made the move public. He had previously spent almost four years as managing director at Goodyear Ventures, as part of a 13 year-stint at the company, making the GCV Powerlist in 2023.
