Japanese internet and telecommunications firm SoftBank Group Corp intends to form a third Vision Fund with its own capital, a person privy to the development told Reuters yesterday. The vehicle, whose size is yet to be determined, is set to launch in early 2023 if the plans materialise according to the source, who added that the group may increase the size of its second Vision Fund.

Computational science and artificial intelligence technology group Altair has acquired RapidMiner, a US-based advanced data analytics software provider backed by IT and communications firm Nokia, for an undisclosed amount.
