Female executive-focused private network operator Chief, which is backed by Verizon's BBG Ventures unit, has increased its overall funding to $25m with the series A round.

Chief, a US-based senior women leadership network operator backed by telecommunications group Verizon, today received $22m in a series A round co-led by General Catalyst and Inspired Capital.

Ken Chenault, chairman and managing director at General Catalyst, and Alexa von Tobel, founder and managing partner of Inspired Capital, have both joined the company’s board of directors in conjunction with the funding.
