Takeshi Munemasa has left his corporate strategy role at Norinchukin Bank to join Rakuten Capital, the corporate venturing unit of the Japanese internet services company.
Munemasa is a senior investment manager at Rakuten Capital. Launched in 2014, the CVC has invested in more than 70 companies, including ride hailing app Lyft and social media platform Pinterest.
Munemasa was at Norinchukin Bank for almost 14 years. In this most recent role, he oversaw business development and managed an intrapreneurship programme at the Japanese bank.
