McClatchy, Gannett and Tonc have exited the gig-economy recruitment platform in an acquisition by peer CareerGig.
Freelancer sourcing software provider CareerGig acquired Moonlighting, the US-based developer of a recruitment platform for the gig economy, for an undisclosed sum yesterday, allowing media groups McClatchy, Gannett and Tronc to exit.
Founded in 2014, Moonlighting manages an online network of more than 850,000 freelancers and small businesses, displaying job listings for contract gigs, part-time jobs and internships.
