UVC Partners has led a $21m series B round for Wire.
Wire, a Germany-based encrypted collaboration platform, has obtained $21m in series B financing led by UVC Partners, the venture capital affiliate of Technical University of Munich’s commercialisation arm UnternehmerTUM.
Founded in 2012, Wire runs an end-to-end encrypted messaging platform that is used by some 1,800 government and enterprise clients globally. It will use the money to drive continued business growth and support recruitment.
Wire raised $8.2m in series A funding in February 2019 from investors including Morpheus Ventures.
