Utah spinout Techcyte has received $21m in funding, three and a half years after its series A round.
Techcyte, a US-based healthcare technology spinout of University of Utah, has closed a $21m round backed by animal health company Zoetis and reference laboratory testing services provider ARUP Laboratories.
Unnamed existing backers also took part in the round.
Founded in 2013, Techcyte has built a digital pathology platform that uses artificial intelligence technology to analyse medical images. The platform integrates with whole slide scanners and lab information systems.
