Steinbeis, a Germany-based research non-profit organisation into technology transfer, has awarded three projects:
- Steinbeis Transfer Center for Corrosion and corrosion protection and Daimler, the Holder Surface Technology and the engineering firm Peter Schrems;
- Steinbeis Transfer Centre for thermal management in electronics, together with the Behr; and
- Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum, together with the Steinbeis Transfer Center for Applied Acoustics, the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics and the Workshop for organ Mühleisen.
A special award for his outstanding achievements and contributions was also made to Lothar Späth, president of Baden-Württemberg, from 1978 until 1991.
