Frank Schwarz will become managing director of Saschenlotto on October 1, ending his current role within innovation at TU Dresden.
Frank Schwarz is to leave GWT-TUD, a knowledge exchange and innovation arm of TU Dresden, to become managing director of Sachsenlotto, the state lottery operator for Saxony, Süddeutsche Zeitung reported today.
Schwarz will join Sachsenlotto on October 1, 2020 to oversee the firm’s main lottery as well as three casinos it operates across Saxony.
Schwarz joined GWT-TUD in late 2017, following nine months with technology provider IBM Deutschland as a partner account executive.
He had been with IBM’s services centre in Germany since 2007, initially as an associate partner selling software development contracts, before a stint as the subsidiary’s managing director from 2013 until 2016.
Prior to joining IBM, Schwarz was vice-president of customised software producer Saxonia Systems from 2000 until 2007, after four years in business development with IT services provider Debis Systemhaus from 1996 until 2000.
He earned his MBA from University of Warwick, having graduated from TU Dresden with a computer science master’s degree in 1993.
