Frontier IP has secured the services of software development veteran Mark Rosten to supervise IT deal flow and product deployment at its portfolio companies.
UK-based commercialisation firm Frontier IP revealed yesterday it had selected Mark Rosten for the non-board position of software commercialisation director.
Rosten arrives having accrued more than three decades of expertise in software and product development across the healthcare, fintech and transport sectors.
His role at Frontier IP will involve identifying deal flow and bringing forward software development ideas to assist the firm’s portfolio companies.
Rosten stepped down from mobile payments service provider Bango in April 2020 having served as senior vice-president of product development there since 2015.
His accomplishments at the firm included supervising an assignment to facilitate direct e-commerce billing across multiple Japan-based mobile telecom networks.
Rosten joined Bango after more than a decade with medical supplies catalogue operator GHX.
He started in 2005 as a senior manager for GHX’s core offering in the UK, rising to become UK head of R&D in 2011 and then EU director of product development in 2012. Rosten later added IT and application support to his remit in 2014.
Before entering management, Rosten plied his trade as a programmer for a string of software companies, starting with payroll and HR software company Cyberaid from 1988 until 1991.
Rosten said: “I am delighted to join Frontier IP and have a unique opportunity to work across a fantastic portfolio of companies. They have truly innovative ideas, making successful products that provide significant commercialisation opportunities across a range of industries.”
