Three Pulsalys businesses in healthcare and consumer feature in the first intake, run in partnership with local incubator Les Premières Aura.
Regional tech transfer office Pulsalys unveiled details of a deep tech incubator geared to its female scientific researchers yesterday in collaboration with local women entrepreneur training program Les Premières Aura.
The program, dubbed Strong ER, officially kicked off on September 24 with workshops and support for women, which make up about one-quarter of potential entrepreneurs across Pulsalys’ member research institutions.
Strong ER aims to marry Pulsalys’s deep-tech focus with Les Premières’ experience of female entrepreneurs in deep tech.
Women founders account for only around a tenth of France-based deep tech startups at present, compared with 28% for emerging businesses more generally.
Pulsalys named three portfolio projects for the new accelerator in its press release: hydrogel cell culture producer Gelastic, regenerative medicine developer Healshape and connected food preparation device supplier Popotte Duck.
