The commercialisation arm of the National University of Singapore has hired US venture experts Patrick Ennis and Donna See as strategic advisers.

NUS Enterprise, the commercialisation arm of the National University of Singapore, has appointed two US-based venture capital investors as strategic advisers as it seeks to expand its venture building and investment platforms.
Patrick Ennis, venture partner at Madrona Venture Group, will advise on research translation policy, incubation, startup evaluation, venture investment strategy and international engagement.
Donna See, CEO of deep tech investor Xora Innovation, which has invested in spinouts from the university, will advise on improving the translation of research and helping the unit to compete globally.
“Their deep expertise in research translation and global venture capital aligns directly with our ambition to position NUS as a magnet for top talent and a driver of innovation at global scale,” said Sian Tan, NUS senior vice president of innovation and enterprise.
“Their guidance will be critical as we scale our venture-building and investment platforms, build our international presence, and pursue bold targets for revenue generation, job creation, and societal impact,” she said.
NUS Enterprise has helped to commercialise several student-led ventures. These include Fingerdance, an AI technology that translates spoken language into sign language for hard-of-hearing communities; and PharLyfe+, a startup that seeks to reduce packaging waste in the pharmaceutical sector with easy-to-administer oral films.
