Azade Hosseini has been hired as a venture associate at NYU Entrepreneurial Institute, the technology transfer office of New York University.
Hosseini will lead investments in life sciences and healthcare at the NYU Innovation Venture Fund. She will also provide coaching to spinouts.
Hosseini was head of business development at venture studio Innouvo, where she sourced deals for pharmaceutical companies and helped scale pre-seed to series A startups.
She was also a scientist and senior scientist at Neon Therapeutics, a US-based clinical-stage immuno-oncology company.
NYU Innovation Venture Fund was founded in 2010. It invests exclusively in spinouts founded by New York University students. Portfolio companies include BioDigital, Transparent Healthcare and Opentrons.
