A managing partner has been selected for the OSU-OU Innovation Fund created by Ohio State University and Ohio University according to a report from Bizjournals.com.

The OSU-OU Innovation Fund, created through a partnership between Ohio State University and Ohio University, is moving towards launching after it was announced three years ago.
According to Bizjournals.com, the $35m venture capital fund has selected a managing partner that it hopes to announce later this month. The named source for this information is Stephen Golding, the vice-president for finance and administration at Ohio University.
The fund is made up of a $20m investment by Ohio State University and $15m from Ohio University.
Originally the fund was to be managed by a California-based venture capital fund but a firm could not be found. Golding said: “After several attempts at identifying a firm to (manage the fund), we came to the conclusion that we weren’t able to find the right partner that had the same alignment that we did.”
