Lingathoti leaves Cisco for Cambridge

Vin Lingathoti has left his position with Cisco to join Cambridge Innovation Capital as partner focused on enterprise and deep tech companies.

Vin (Praveen) Lingathoti, former regional head of venture investments at network equipment maker Cisco in the UK and California since 2015, has joined university-focused Cambridge Innovation Capital (CIC) as a partner specialising in software investments.
At CIC, which has raised £275m ($300m) since 2013, Lingathoti will make early-stage investments in enterprise and deep-tech companies affiliated with University of Cambridge and the local ecosystem.
At Cisco, his fund commitments included Idinvest, Partech Ventures and Evolution Equity Partners, while his direct deal board observer roles included Sweden-based BehavioSec, UK-based companies Panaseer and Adbrain, Spain-based Worldsensing and France-based Intersec Group.
Before joining Cisco, Lingathoti had been an investment director at SK Telecom Inno­partners, a fund providing up to $1m in seed capital for disruptive startups in enterprise technologies.
