Kirsten Leute has been promoted to partner for university relations, having driven an increase in OUP's academic partnerships from 75 to more than 100.

Spinout-focused investment firm Osage University Partners (OUP) yesterday promoted Kirsten Leute to the position of partner for university relations.
Leute joined OUP in 2015 as senior vice-president for university relations. That has role included efforts to increase Osage’s roster of academic partnerships, of which there are now more than 100 compared to about 75 previously.
Earlier in her career, Leute was associate director for Stanford University’s Office of Technology Licensing (OTL) from 2014 until 2015, a promotion that followed nine and a half years with the TTO as a senior associate from 2004 until 2014.
Leute had a three-year tenure at trade body Autm as vice-president for the western hemisphere membership from 2013 until 2016, after an earlier stint on the Autm board as vice-president for communications from 2007 until 2009.
She was a technology manager for cancer research centre Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum from 2003 until 2004, after previously serving Stanford OTL as licensing associate from 1999 until 2003, and as licensing liaison and licensing assistant from 1996 to 1999.
Marc Singer, managing partner at Osage University Partners, said: “This promotion reflects our firm’s commitment to recognising excellence.
“Kirsten has been instrumental in our firm’s rapid growth and success in developing deep relationships with our existing partner institutions, but also in establishing new relationships among the higher education community.”
