UK’s Ian McClure has been promoted to associate vice-president for research, innovation and economic impact, having previously been executive director of the tech transfer office.

Ian McClure, executive director of University of Kentucky (UK)’s Office of Technology Commercialisation (OTC), has been promoted to associate vice-president for research, innovation and economic impact.
The new position will increase his responsibilities to lead UK Research’s efforts, including research translation, returns on intellectual property, grant funding, expanding industry and other partnerships, and developing innovate approaches to support near-stage research.
