Packetized Energy, a US-based spinout of University of Vermont working on technology to improve the responsiveness and resilience of energy systems, was acquired by distributed energy resource management services provider EnergyHub on Tuesday. Financial terms were not disclosed, but Packetized Energy’s team, including co-founder and chief executive Paul Hines, have joined EnergyHub. Packetized Energy received an undisclosed amount of equity financing from investment firm Vermont Works Management in July 2017, but has not disclosed any other details of its funding history.
