Barnett led consulting services at the University of Oxford's commercialisation arm where she increased revenue and service performance.
The University of Oxford’s commercialisation arm has appointed Jaci Barnett, previously head of consulting services, as its chief operating officer.
Barnett joined Oxford University Innovation as head of consulting services in September 2021. She was previously the head of research commercialisation and investment at the University of Bristol, having worked for that institution since 2017.
Earlier in her career, she worked in technology transfer at the University of the Witwatersrand and Nelson Mandela University, both in South Africa.
Barnett’s appointment follows the promotion of Mairi Gibbs to CEO of Oxford University Innovation, first in an interim capacity in April and then permanently from June this year. Gibbs had previously been the chief operating officer of the tech transfer office.
