Syntegra, a US-based synthetic healthcare data company, has secured more than $5.6m in a seed round featuring Berkeley Catalyst Fund, a vehicle for University of California (UC), Berkeley, according to FinSMEs. The round featured Sweat Equity Ventures, Hike Ventures, Innovation Global Capital, Wisconn Valley Ventures, Village Global, Impact Venture Capital, Grids Capital, Launchpad Capital, Vastly Valuable Ventures and First Spark Ventures. Syntegra had raised $3.1m in seed financing in August 2020 led by Sweat Equity Ventures, with participation from Village Global Capital, Impact VC and Wisconn Valley Ventures.
CoPilot, a US-based platform that connects users with a dedicated lifestyle coach, has received $6m in a series A round backed by Carnegie Mellon University. The round was led by Hyde Park Venture Partners, and also included Maven Ventures, TenOneTen Ventures, Rise of the Rest, Sandalphon Capital and Alpha Edison. CoPilot – then called DeltaTrainer – raised $3.3m in a seed round led by TenOneTen Ventures in May 2021, when Alpha Edison, Maven and angel investors also participated. The company confirmed in its latest press release that it had now raised $10m altogether.
Cady, an Israel-based developer of artificial intelligence technology to automatically inspect printed circuit boards, has raised $3m in a funding round involving TAU Ventures, the venture capital arm of Tel Aviv University, according to Calcalist. The round was co-led by software consultancy Teramips Technologies and private investor Udi Peless. Other investors included Today Ventures, Aristagora VC, Tal Capital, Atooro and assorted individuals. TAU Ventures was a returning investor and Cady has now raised $4m altogether, according to the report.
