The Global University Venturing deal net rounds up the smaller investments from across the university innovation ecosystem.

Blue Current, a US-based solid-state battery technology developer co-founded by University of California, Berkeley and Stanford University faculty, has received $30m from Koch Strategic Platforms, a subsidiary of chemicals and industrial group Koch. The investment will support work on a megawatt-scale factory Blue Current plans to build in the state of California.

Eon, a US-based patient management software developer, has raised $16m from investors including University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, which took part through its CU Healthcare Innovation Fund.…
