Lunac Therapeutics, a UK-based anticoagulant drug discovery spinout of University of Leeds, formally launched yesterday having raised £2.7m ($3.5m) co-led by the university and Epidarex Capital for the first close of its series A round. Lunac’s anticoagulants will target a blood-clotting protein called Factor XII to address the risk of bleeding prevalent with existing drugs.
