Every day, Global University Venturing rounds up the smaller investments from across the university innovation ecosystem in its deal net.

PlasmaBound, an Ireland-based surface treatment technology developer spun out of University College Dublin, closed a €1.1m ($1.24m) funding round today led by the University Bridge Fund, managed by Atlantic Bridge, with participation from Enterprise Ireland and several private investors. PlasmBound’s controlled polymer ablation technology enables the automated structural adhesive joining of carbon and glass fibre-reinforced composites for applications in the automotive, aerospace and wind turbine industries. It was founded in 2017 out of the College of Engineering and Architecture.
