Doron Ben-Meir has stood down as University of Melbourne's vice-president for enterprise and chair of the university's standalone commercial services unit.

Doron Ben-Meir (pictured) resigned last month as vice-president for enterprise at University of Melbourne, ending a near five-year tenure at the institution, he announced on LinkedIn.
Ben-Meir began the post in mid-2016 with a mandate to shape University of Melbourne’s enterprise strategy. His replacement does not appear to have been announced.
Ben-Meir also chaired standalone commercial services arm University of Melbourne Commercial, which is set to close in a restructuring announced in September 2018, and was executive director for research, innovation and commercialisation between mid-2015 and mid-2016.
Elsewhere in his career, Ben-Meir directed entrepreneur support programs for stock exchange operator Nasdaq from 2016 until March 2018 and for the Australian Department of Industry, Innovation and Science from mid-2014 until 2015.
He was CEO of the government’s now-defunct Commercialisation Australia initiative from 2010 until 2015, after leading early-stage venture capital fund Prescient Venture Capital from 2007 until 2010.
