Forest Partners and Activant Capital have invested $11m in the SoftBank-backed agriculture trading hub.

Tridge, a South Korea-based produce sourcing platform developer backed by telecommunications and internet group SoftBank, has received $11m in series B funding, DealStreetAsia reported yesterday.

Investment firms Forest Partners and Activant Capital provided the funding, having participated in a $10.5m series A round led by SoftBank subsidiary SoftBank Ventures Asia in November 2019.

Founded in 2015, Tridge has built an online hub that enables users to conduct cross-border trading of agricultural products, and access buyers, sellers and market information.

The platform has almost 190,000 registered users and more than 100,000 registered purchasers and suppliers.
