Sony Innovation Fund has provided an undisclosed amount for cybersecurity technology developer Caulis, representing the second domestic investment from the fund.

Sony Innovation Fund, the reorganised corporate venturing unit for the eponymous electronics group, invested an undisclosed amount in Japan-based cybersecurity startup Caulis last month.

Sony’s other Japan-based investment from the fund is in electrostimulation device maker Happy Hacking Life (H2L).

The firm’s US deals include a previously undisclosed investment in Sliver.tv, a virtual reality platform aimed at e-sports which is backed by a range of corporates, and which raised $16m last month. Its other US portfolio companies include AirMap, Cogitai, DefinedCrowd and Digilens.
