Design-oriented deals platform Fab.com has followed up a $40m series B round by acquiring its fashion-focused peer FashionStake.

Online fashion retailer Farfetch.com brings its total funding to $24m after a round supported by investors including the Otto Group-backed eVenture.

The plan Obachyan no Bentoya (Grandma's Lunchbox Delivery Van) won based on a business model that would enlist older women to cook, then deliver lunch and dinner boxes (bentos) initially to temporary housing, and then later throughout Northern Japan.

Intel-backed AVG preps $125m IPO.

Mineral makeup company Colorescience has been acquired by skincare company SkinMedica, backed by GlaxoSmithKline's corporate venturing unit.

Intel Capital-backed India-based travel company Yatra has reportedly acquired BuzzInTown, an Indian events listings business also backed by the US chipmaker's corporate venturing unit.

Yum had previously taken a minority stake in Little Sheep from private equity firm 3i.

Potential partners include Meituan.com, Manzuo.com and Gaopeng.com and Alibaba said it would work with venture capital funds to provide RMB1.2bn ($200m) in loans to small vendors that sell their products through the platform.

The deal was the latest in a line of interesting moves by SAP in the cloud, following its backing of Box.net and also a multi-billion dollar acquisition of listed cloud company SuccessFactors.
