Prosus Ventures led a series B round for on-demand ride provider Bykea that lifted its overall funding to $22m.

Bykea, a Pakistan-based two-wheeler ride-hailing service, has received $13m in a series B round led by Prosus Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of internet group Prosus.

Bykea’s existing investors, venture capital firms Middle East Venture Partners and Sarmayacar, also invested in the B round. The company has raised $22m in total, according to news provider TechCrunch.

Fahd Beg, chief investment officer at Prosus, said: “Bykea has already seen impressive traction in the country and with our investment will be able to execute further on their vision to become Pakistan’s ‘super app’.”
