Petco has purchased petcare services platform PetCoach for an undisclosed sum, providing an exit to corporate investors Comcast and Pet360.
PetCoach, the US-based petcare services platform backed by mass media group Comcast, was acquired by pet product retailer Petco for an undisclosed amount on Tuesday.
PetCoach operates a platform that enables animal owners to connect with certified vets, pet nutrionists, trainers and groomers to receive personalised advice on improving the welfare of their pet.
Brock Weatherup, co-founder and chief executive of PetCoach, will join Petco as executive vice-president for strategic innovation and digital experience.
