OpenTable, an online restaurant reservation provider, has acquired SingTel and Amex-backed Ness Computing, a US-based provider of personalised restaurant recommendations, for $17.2m.
Ness Computing, in February 2012, completed a $15m round of series B funding led by SingTel Innov8 and including participation from American Express Ventures.
Employees of both the US-based companies will now work together to integrate their respective technologies. The eleven Ness Computing team members joining OpenTable will be based in their San Francisco headquarters.
