The Liberty Global-backed smart antenna manufacturer has closed a series D round that featured undisclosed strategic investors.

Kymeta, a US-based satellite systems producer backed by communications firm Liberty Global, closed a $62m series D round on Monday.

The round was backed by university venture fund Osage University Partners, philanthropic outfit Kresge Foundation, venture capital firm Lux Capital, private investor Bill Gates and several undisclosed strategic investors.
