AI Council

The AI Council was designed to bring together CVCs within this sector to showcase the best and brightest investment opportunities with the hope of solving today’s challenges in an ever-accelerating need for others to understand AI and its impact on every aspect of our world.

The AI Council meets quarterly to design future programming, select speakers and topics to be addressed at select GCV events. They also work with the GCV editorial team to provide meaningful content via special reports. The AI Council also works closely with other GCV industry councils to assist with cross-collaborative initiatives.

AI Council Innovation Showcase 2025

The rapid expansion of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has sparked immense interest from investors eager to witness its transformative power across diverse sectors, especially the energy transition. This growth, however, comes with a substantial and rising energy footprint. The International Energy Agency (IEA) recently projected that global electricity demand from data centers, heavily driven by AI, is set to more than double by 2030.

To navigate these critical developments and illuminate the opportunities at the convergence of AI and energy, the Global Corporate Venturing Energy Council and AI Council are proud to present “AI for Energy, Energy for AI.” This dynamic virtual event featured a 40-minute panel discussion with leading experts, followed by a curated showcase of innovative startups.
