Salesforce Ventures and returning investor Slack Fund helped the virtual event provider add series A funding to the seed round it closed four months ago.

UK-based virtual event platform developer Hopin has received $40m in series A funding from investors including enterprise software provider Salesforce and communication platform developer Slack.

Venture capital firm IVP led the round, which was also backed by Accel, Northzone and Seedcamp. The corporates invested through subsidiaries Salesforce Ventures and Slack Fund.
