The Intel-backed motorcycle helmet producer has ceased operations following the CEO's departure and varying accounts of an acquisition deal by LeSports.

Skully, the US-based augmented reality (AR) motorcycle helmet manufacturer backed by semiconductor producer Intel, has shut down, TechCrunch reported on Wednesday.

The news follows the departure of co-founder and CEO Marcus Weller last week after ongoing disagreements about the future of the company. Weller has refused to sign a confidentiality agreement with investors following his decision to leave.
