Nextbit Systems, a US-based mobile technology startup which remains in stealth mode, has raised $18m series A funding, led by Accel Partners and Google Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of internet firm Google. As part of the fundraising, Nextbit will add Rich Miner, mobile lead at Google Ventures, and Rich Wong, lead mobile partner at Accel Partners, to its board of directors.
