Biotechnology company PerkinElmer has acquired Wingu, a US-backed developer of cloud-based data management and analysis tools that was previously backed by Google Ventures.
Google Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of internet company Google, invested an undisclosed amount in Wingu’s series A round in 2011 alongside venture capital firm Borealis Ventures when Wingu was in stealth mode.
