It is also known for developing the Oxford–AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine. The company makes occasional investments in US, European and Asia-based drug developers from series A stage onwards, and had previously invested out of a $400m venture firm called MedImmune Ventures for over a decade from 2002.
