The food producer's corporate venture capital unit joined Powerplant Ventures and Cleveland Avenue to invest in the healhy vending machine supplier.
Farmers Fridge, a US-based supplier of fresh food to vending machines, has received $10m in funding from investors including packaged food maker Danone, Food Navigator-USA has reported.
Danone took part in the round through corporate venturing subsidiary Danone Ventures and was joined by Powerplant Ventures, a venture capital firm that targets plant-centric investments, and food-focused VC fund and accelerator Cleveland Avenue.
