The robotics artificial intelligence developer, which counts Samsung, Wipro and ABB as investors, has raised $50m in a Khosla Ventures-led series C round.

Vicarious, a US-based artificial intelligence (AI) technology developer backed by several corporate investors, raised $50m in a series C round on Tuesday led by venture capital firm Khosla Ventures.

Founded in 2010, Vicarious is working on artificial intelligence for robots, using insights from fields such as neuroscience to create machines capable of responding to new environments without requiring retraining.
